Google Chrome Slowing Down

The most common reason for this would be because you have too many plugins and/or extensions running and occasionally from too much browsing history. Disabling Plugins

  1. Navigate to chrome://plugins
  2. Click "Disable" on any plugins you don't need.

Disable Extensions

  1. If your extensions are on your Chrome address bar, right-click them and select "Disable".
  2. You can also disable them from a "New Tab Page" using the same method.
  3. Alternatively, if you click the Settings (wrench) button, and go to Tools > Extensions, you can disable them from here too.

Clear Browsing History If the above two haven't worked, you could also clear your browsing history.

  1. Click on the Settings (wrench) button and go Tools > Clear browsing data...
  2. You can then choose how much you want to delete from here.
