Media player classic (MPC) is a free, compact and versatile media player for 32-bit and 64-bit Microsoft Windows operating systems. It, along with VLC media player, are the two most popular versatile media players on the Internet.
Issues[edit]
Video is choppy/stutters when viewing subtitles[edit]
This is a common issue in MPC and is often accompanied with flashing subtitle text.The MPC media player suffers from poor performance when subtitle animation is enabled (subtitle animation is enabled by default). To fix this, simply disable subtitle animation.
Solution
- Open Media Player Classic
- Click on View -> Options
- Click Subtitles
- Uncheck Allow animation when buffering
- Make sure Sub pictures to buffer is at 4
